Annual Foundation Conference

The Oyster Group's Annual Foundation Conference on December 21st celebrated achievements and future plans with a guest speaker, great food, and a sense of community.

Oyster Hub, Oyster Care, and Oyster Tribe recognise the vital role of their partners in supporting their mission. Through strong collaborations with individuals, community groups, and organisations, they provide essential resources, programs, and opportunities that empower people with disabilities and Aboriginal communities. These partnerships help extend their reach, ensuring lasting impact and brighter futures for those they serve.

It’s a time to celebrate our achievements, acknowledge the challenges we’ve overcome, and appreciate the lessons we’ve learned along the way. Each experience, whether big or small, has shaped us, strengthening our resolve and deepening our understanding of what truly matters.

As we look ahead, we embrace new possibilities with hope and determination. The coming year holds fresh opportunities to grow, connect, and make a difference. With gratitude in our hearts and a vision for the future, we step forward—ready to continue the journey, inspired by the progress we’ve made and the goals we have yet to achieve.

Challenges and Triumphs

For Oyster Group, this past year has been one of both challenges and triumphs. We have learned a lot about ourselves and the world around us. We have also had the opportunity to grow and develop in many ways, particularly through the incredible work of our teams in Fiji and the Philippines, including impactful trips to remote communities.

Key Achievements of the Year

Oyster Care Foundation

We have significantly expanded our advocacy efforts for NDIS, ensuring the voices of individuals with disabilities are heard. This was further exemplified by the successful and joyous Christmas party we hosted for our NDIS participants.

Staff Benefits

Recognising the value of our employees, we have implemented enhanced staff benefits, reflecting our status as a registered charity organisation.

Oyster Tribe Aboriginal Corporation

We have successfully implemented impactful programs in partnership with Oyster Tribe Aboriginal Corporation, supporting Indigenous communities.

Oyster Hub Growth

The Oyster Hub team has experienced significant growth, further solidifying our commitment to innovation and technology.

Annual Conference

We successfully concluded the year with our annual Oyster Group conference held at the prestigious St. George’s Club, providing a valuable platform for learning, networking, and celebration.

Gratitude and Looking Forward

We are grateful for the people in our lives who have supported us and helped us to grow. We’re also grateful for the experiences we’ve had, both good and bad.

As we look ahead to the new year, we’re excited about the possibilities. We’re ready to take on new challenges and continue to grow and learn, leveraging the strengths and insights of our diverse teams across the Pacific.
